It has been a dream for many people to have a movie theater in the comfort of their own homes. This dream is very affordable today. The prices of Home Theater Systems have gone down very dramatically, however the problem now is how to choose the best Home Theater System for your specific needs and budget.

The following are the most important points to consider, before you buy or install your dream Home Theater System:

300-watt 5.1 Channel

1- Budget is one of the most important factors in your decision. Home Theater Systems can cost few hundred to few thousand dollars, so first decide on how much you are planning to spend to achieve your dream of a movie theater at your own home.
2- Available space: Choose a room in your house to install your Home Theater System. Decide how big your TV or screen will be.
3- Make sure the selected room is away from any noise that may distract you during watching your movies.
4- Design and layout of your movie theater: Decide where to put your TV, chairs, speakers, other equipments and accessories.

5- Natural Light sources: The position and the size of each of your windows will affect the viewing of your movies. You may need heavy curtains, or you may need to move you TV around to avoid any discomfort.
6- Artificial light sources: The position and the intensity of each of them will affect the viewing of your movies.
7- Consultants and experts: Before you go any further, decide whether you need a home theater designer to come to your home, examine your planes and give you advice on how to get the best results for your budget?
8- The Basic Elements: The basic elements of any Home Theater System are: TV or screen, speakers and the DVD player.
9- TV : Most experts agree that your TV should not be less than 27 inches. Make sure that your TV will play all film formats.
10- Screen : if you care much about size, and you have a large space, you may consider replacing your TV with a big screen to get resemble the movie theaters with their huge screens.

11- Speakers: must be able to play different formats of sound in a Dolby Digital environment. The basic positions of the speakers are: to the left, the right and the center of the room.
12- Speakers’ power: Your speakers must have enough output to give the best sound quality without distortion.
13- Number of speakers: For a small room, 3 speakers may be enough, but a bigger room will need up to 6 speakers and may need also a subwoofer to enhance the speakers to get the best surround sound for large room.
14- Shape of speakers: Speakers are available in different shapes, to fit different room designs.
15- Make sure that, when you buy the speakers, the store will allow you to test them in your room and if they are not giving a satisfactory surround sound, they should allow you to return or replace them.

16- DVD Player : Choose a DVD with 3 - 5 CDs, so you do not have to get up to change a CD if your movie is on more than one CD. Also progressive scan DVD will provide sharp images with flicker-free performance.
17- Home Theater Projectors: If you have a large space, and if you decided to use a screen, you will need a Home Theater Projector instead of a DVD.
18- Home Theater Projectors are more expensive than DVDs, so do your home work, and read few reviews and do some research before you invest in one of them.
19- In a large space, with a screen and a projector, you may need an amplifier to get the best sound quality.
20- Magnetically shielded equipments will eliminate interference, especially in small rooms with computers

21- A single remote control to operate all the components of the Home Theater System will make your experience much more enjoyable.
22- Home theater seats: How many home theater seats do you need? How far from each other they should be? Few reclining seats must be placed where there is ample room for everyone to stretch out their legs and enjoy the movie.
23- Few more accessories will be needed. A cabinet or a stand to can keep all your DVDs in an organized, easy to reach organized way.
24- Decorate your Home theater room with few movie posters to give the feeling of being in the movie theater.
25- Lastly don not forget to have a continuous supply of popcorn, drinks, chocolates and other movie snacks

The Xbox 360 Elite is the future of entertainment, with little inconveniences.

Posted by admin  Published in Xbox 360

by Nashat Mostafa,
Consumer Electronics Consultant at “More4LessShop.com”

The Xbox 360 Elite is the future of entertainment, with the most stunning games and its powerful technology.

The Xbox 360 Elite features three symmetrical cores running at 3.2GHz each, and a custom 500MHz ATI graphics processor for a movie-like experience

Xbox 360 Elite High-definition
Gaming And Entertainment System With 7 Games Bundle

The Xbox360 Elite includes everything you need for the ultimate gaming experience. The Elite system includes the Xbox 360 console, 120GB hard drive, wireless controller, headset, HDMI cable, Ethernet cable and Xbox Live Silver.

The built-in wireless receiver offers precision gameplay from wireless controllers.

In addition The Xbox Gamer Guide is an entertainment gateway that instantly connects you to your games, friends, music, movies and downloadable content.

And of course you can save your games on the 120GB hard drive or on a Memory Units (not included) for taking your games with you any where you may wish.

With the Xbox 360 Elite you can also watch DVD movies, or connect to portable music players and digital cameras for a true multi-media experience.

The interchangeable faceplate and personalized menus allow you to personalize your system and truly make it your own.

However, The Xbox 360 Elite does not correct most of the inconveniences of the Xbox 360 version:

- The DVD drive and the cooling fan are still noisy, but much less than before.
- There are only three USB ports;
- DVD player is substandard.
- Online gaming requires a paid subscription to Xbox Live.
- The power supply is huge.

In Conclusion:

The Xbox 360 Elite can be connected to any TV or home theater system in a variety of configurations, without the need to purchase any additional accessories.

The Xbox 360 Elite comes with all the cables and accessories that you may need to connect to any TV. While it’s primarily a game system, the Xbox 360 Elite is a fascinating digital media hub in the same time.

Pioneer Avics2 Portable GPS Navigation System, very impressive performance.

Posted by admin  Published in GPS

by Nashat Mostafa,
Consumer Electronics Consultant at “More4LessShop.com”

I have been testing few Navigation Systems in the last few weeks, Pioneer Avics2 Portable Gps Navigation System, has really impressed me with its performance.

http://www.more4lessshop.com
Pioneer Avics2 Portable
Gps Navigation System

This Slim (1.7cm. or 0.7 inches), light Weight (180 Grams or 6.35 ounces) Navigation System  is very easy to use whether in the car or out side the car; if like to go hiking, biking or exploring the down town of any city that you are not familiar with.

Full Color TFT 3.5-inch touch screen interface,
provides simple operation
The maps and other information about the Points of Interest (POI) are very accurate and load almost immediately, and the route updating is almost instantaneously.

The TeleAtlas map database covers the continental United States with Alaska and Hawaii in addition to Canada.

The 3D Map View gives a detailed view of your location and the route ahead, and you can easily zoom in or out.

Full Color TFT 3.5-inch touch screen interface, provides simple operation, in addition, maps and menus are easy-to-read on the large, anti-glare screen.

Pioneer Avics2 Portable Gps Navigation System
features a Bluetooth technology
for safe hands-free cell phone operation

Pioneer Avics2 Portable Gps Navigation System features also a Night Display option, with Brightness Control of 8 Levels, and a built in Microphone.

The supported Languages are: US English, French, Spanish, Czech, Danish, UK English, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Finnish, Swedish, Flemish and Turkish.

This compact GPS unit also features Bluetooth technology for hands-free cell phone operation while driving, which is a great blessing for safety.

The only con in my opinion is the battery life, which is about 4 hours. If you are planning to go hiking or biking for more than 4 hours, you better keep that in mind, but in the car there is no problem, as you can use a car charger which comes with the Pioneer Avics2 Portable Gps Navigation System.
